About Marnie:

Marnie Oldner, formerly Stone Bank CEO, now serves as a Director of the Bank and its parent companies Stone Bancshares, Inc., and MO/Ark Bancshares, Inc.  She was on staff with the Bank from July 1, 2011, until her retirement December 31, 2023, serving as its CEO, CFO, and President during that time. She built the bank from a $65 million bank that was losing money and suffering extensive loan losses to a highly profitable, healthy bank with assets over $750 million.

Prior to her tenure at Stone Bank, Marnie worked with many banks inside and outside of Arkansas while a Managing Principal at DD&F Consulting Group, Little Rock, Arkansas, for 7 years.  Prior to joining DD&F, Marnie had 16 years of experience in banking.  Before her direct involvement in the banking industry, Marnie was a certified public accountant for Coopers & Lybrand (now PriceWaterhouseCoopers), in Newport Beach, California.  She is a graduate of California State University in Fullerton, California, where she majored in business and accounting.

She has served on the Board of the Arkansas Bankers Association, the Federal Reserve’s 8th District Community Depository Institutions Advisory Council where she served as its Chair, and the FDIC’s Community Bank Advisory Board.  In 2015 Marnie was recognized by Arkansas Business as “Bank CFO of the Year”.  She was honored as “Woman of the Year in Business” by the Women’s Foundation of Arkansas in 2020 and selected as one of their Top 100 Women of Impact in 2023.  She has also been recognized by Arkansas Money & Politics as one of its 2024 AMP Influencers of the Year.

In our August Newsletter a few days ago, Marnie shared her excited to host Power of the Purse this year!

“Power of the Purse is more than a celebration; it is a powerful testament to the vital role women play in our communities, both as leaders and financial controllers within their households. The name “Power of the Purse” captures the influence women have over financial decisions in families, businesses and communities. It underscores the importance of recognizing and amplifying women’s contributions to economic decisions and vitality.

Throughout my career in banking, I have seen firsthand how women often bring a unique blend of detail-oriented and people-focused skills, making them exceptional in service industries like banking. Although women are historically underrepresented in executive roles within the financial sector, this is changing. The Power of the Purse event celebrates this shift and encourages more women to pursue leadership positions in finance and related fields.”

We are so honored to have Marnie be a part of this amazing event and can’t wait for you all to meet her in person, Oct 2nd!! Make sure you secure your tickets and tables TODAY!! We are all so excited to see you at Power of the Purse, presented by Arkansas Children’s Hospital!
