About the Series

Stories of Empowerment is a four-part collaboration between the Women’s Foundation of Arkansas and ESSE Purse Museum.

Our joint series aspires to encourage togetherness and understanding over our shared experiences of womanhood. Each evening will be full of fun and fellowship and guests will engage with old friends and new over thoughtful and provoking conversation, accompanied by light refreshments and libations.

While ESSE Purse Museum celebrates and honors the journey of the American woman throughout the 20th Century, the Women’s Foundation of Arkansas fosters the forward-moving path of women today. With our Stories of Empowerment series, the WFA and ESSE intend to further these missions of honoring our past and supporting and strengthening our future.

Reservations

Reservations are required and are available online. Cost is $25 per person at each event.

Refreshments, libations, programming, and thoughtful, provoking conversations are included.

Our Signature Stories of Empowerment Event for Women’s History Month

Bring your tribe of women to the fourth installment of Stories of Empowerment. In honor of Women’s History Month, ESSE and WFA are partnering with Amy Robinson of Fayetteville-based Tribe of Women for a special program on advancing gender equity. We’ll engage over topics of connectivity, acceptance, and leadership among women, as well as strategies over how to harness our collective power. When one of us succeeds, our tribe succeeds.

This event is the second installment of our joint series, which aspires to encourage togetherness and understanding over our shared experiences of womanhood. With what promises to be an evening of fun and fellowship, our timely theme will explore how women elevate themselves in public, professional, and personal spheres. Guests will engage with one another through a confidence-building group activity by Michelle Barnes of Real Images as well as with inspirational speaker Sericia Cole. What makes you rise?

Walk a Mile with Her

With our Stories of Empowerment series, the Women’s Foundation of Arkansas and ESSE Purse Museum invite you to join us for Walk a Mile with Her. This event is the third installment of our joint series, which aspires to encourage togetherness and understanding over our shared experiences of womanhood. This evening’s theme will explore concepts of philanthropy from different generations and walks of life. Guests can expect three speakers and a group activity meant to start conversations on volunteerism, philanthropy, and giving back to your community or to a special cause. What can you do to make a difference?
